Originally formed in 1983, Krause & Ferris, a general partnership for the practice of law located in Annapolis, Maryland, provides a wide range of legal services on a regional and national basis. The firm's primary focus is in Maryland, principally in the Anne Arundel County and Baltimore regions, although Lynn Krause, one of the partners, is also admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C., and William Ferris, another partner, has handled military and federal cases throughout the United States.

The attorneys at Krause & Ferris have a diverse range of business and professional experiences. Both partners have served in active duty in the United States Navy and on the staff of the United States Naval Academy.
Lynn Krause, a graduate of the University of Southern California and Georgetown law school, is a former President of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Maryland State Bar Association, current Chairman and past Chairman and current Vice Chairman of the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency, a former member and Vice Chairman of the Anne Arundel County Cable TV Advisory Panel and a Board Member of The Security Title Guarantee Corporation of Baltimore.
William Ferris, a graduate of the Naval Academy and holder of J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation degrees from the University of Baltimore, is a former member of the Maryland Commission on Judicial Disabilities, a former adjunct professor at both the University of Baltimore School of Law and Anne Arundel Community College, a former member and President of the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners, a former Hearing Officer for the Anne Arundel County Board of Education, and a former Deputy Zoning Hearing Examiner for Anne Arundel County.
Nevin Young, a graduate of St. John's College and George Washington University Law School, came to Krause & Ferris in 2006. He seamlessly eased into the office routine and took on a wide range of legal matters, including child custody, divorce, real estate litigation, torts and criminal defense. He assists both partners with their cases and also handles his own clients.

Our staff and attorneys enjoy meaningful roots in Annapolis, the US Naval Academy and Anne Arundel County. Attorney Lynn Krause was in the US Navy and stationed at the U.S. Naval Academy while attending law school and William Ferris graduated from USNA and taught there. Associate attorney Nevin Young graduated from St. John's College. All dedicated several years to active military service.
